any snow lovers sick of the snow yet?
In '63, I was studying in Liverpool and travelling home to S.Derbys at
weekends in a Mini.. I used to pick different routes depending on weather - and recall taking the 'Cat & Fiddle' road often to encounter incredible snow scenes. Got stuck once only and ended up playing cards in the back of a van with others similarly immobile. Another nearby van was supplying hot bacon butties - a memorable occasion - but I wouldn't do it now - wisdom? - not sure about that - more likely cowardice! PeterJ "Bob Martin" wrote in message om... Guess I'm a little less brave/stupid now. Is it lack of bravery or an increase in the wisdom that comes with age? 50 years ago I would drive long distances in poor conditions without even thinking about it. Today I think too much about it. |

In my case it's lack of confidence (or bravery if you will) which, I've found, has crept up on me over the past ten years or so. I've always lacked wisdom. -- Alan White Mozilla Firefox and Forte Agent. Twenty-eight miles NW of Glasgow, overlooking Lochs Long and Goil in Argyll, Scotland.
