Default Mostly rain around the uk atm

Looking through the METARs I notice that apart from the SE anywhere
north of say Suffolk, is reporting rain, from East Midlands,
Cambridge, Birmingham, Newcastle, to name a few. Temps ranging from
3-5°C up there. Be interested to see whether our cold air says put as
this lot moves south.

Snow here in London W1, just off Marble Arch, this morning. Mostly
small flakes but some larger ones for a time. NOw stopped but no
doubt it'll be mentioned on the news as an "event of some
significance".

We've had several hours of moderate snow in Fleet. Settling on all surfaces
apart from roads. Looking very Christmasy indeed.

Started off as light snow here near Benson, Oxon. Now moderate rain.
Wouldn't be surprised if the Chilterns have got a covering of snow
though (can't see them, visibility too poor).
