Default [WR] Bewdley - a cold day; a little snow last night

Woke up this morning to a dusting of snow here. If anyone still has
access to radar from the early hours, they'll see a line of showers
coming into this area from the WSW. Most of them either missed us or
fizzled out in W Shrops/Herefs, but at least one (around 03.00, I think)
scored a direct hit. Certainly a snow day - I'm not very good at
estimating these things, but I'd think about 80% cover at 09.00.

A cold day here - perhaps even this very thin snow cover has had some
effect on that. Despite being sunny most of the day up until early
afternoon, the max so far has been just 0.6°C, and if that's not beaten
later then this will become the coldest day of the winter so far.
Currently it's -0.1°C and dry, but the sun has long since disappeared:
the extensive cloud to the SE comes far enough around to the SW to hide
it.

Unsurprisingly, the temperature never did beat that; in fact it never
rose back above freezing after my earlier post. It's currently -3.4°C,
and after dropping quite fast seems to have stabilised in the last hour
or so. Despite a fair amount of the dusting of snow remaining in
sheltered spots, I'd be very surprised if we got below -6.1°C, the
current lowest of this winter here.
