Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Friday. Issued
0440z, 8/06/10. The models are mixed today. GFS and MetO show a ridge and generally settled and increasingly warm conditions. ECM and the minor runs keep the ridge further west, with a cooler and (in the east) less settled outlook. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif NW'lies cover the UK, with a ridge to the west. The ridge moves eastwards on day 6, bringing northerlies and NW'lies to the UK. On day 7 pressure builds to the NW, leading to NNE'lies for the UK. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif The Met Office run shows a ridge over the UK, with light winds for all. The same is true on day 6. GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png A ridge from the Azores High covers the UK, bringing light winds. Nothing much changes on days 6 and 7, with further light winds due to a ridge. GEM: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rgem1201.gif The Canadian run brings a northerly flow over the UK, with a low to the SE. JMA: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif JMA brings NW'lies due to a ridge to the west. |

Last nights forecast from Rob Mc hinted that very humid thundery conditions
could push into the SE later in the week. Time to power up the aircon maybe! Robbie "Paul Hyett" wrote in message ...
