My weather station is covered in spiders webs. Is there a chemical that
would keep them off or at least at bay for a while

Are they money spiders, as they may then accrue debt due to living above
your station.

Have you tried sticky tape (sticky side out, of course) just under the unit?

Unless they are floating in on the wind.
