Pollution/Inversion?

There's a pronounced line of presumed pollution trapped under an inversion
over the sea here. It's been clearly visible as a thick yellowish line since
first light and is the thickest/dirtiest I've seen. Am I right in thinking
it is pollution?

Thanks

Possible. I saw quite a thick layer of brownish/yellow pollution over
London (which is not at all unusual) as I came down the M11 into the
London basin at 09.00 hrs this morning. IIRC, that's oxides of
nitrogen from traffic.

Startling to think that, most days, I (and a few million others) work
in the middle of all that muck and it's getting no better. (And
before anyone says anything, I go to work, as far as I can anyway, by
Tube...)
