Heavy snowfall overnight in Brussels.
http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/EBBR.html http://mediatheque.lesoir.be/v/belgi..._2010/paysage/ http://mediatheque.lesoir.be/v/belgi.../neige_videos/ http://mediatheque.lesoir.be/main.php?g2_itemId=562796 20 cm snow cover in the garden of the building where I live this morning. No buses in Brussels, tram routes now operating but badly disrupted. Major roads around here have deep rutted slush, minor roads hard-packed or churned up snow. Some traffic - but very slow and cautious. Many people about on foot. No planes will be allowed to land at Brussels Airport before 16.00 this afternoon. Flights still taking off but with delays and cancellations. http://www.deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuw...ews/101224_zav http://www.deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuw...s/101224_roads http://www.deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuw....3815/1.930459 Colin Youngs Brussels |
