No-one knows is, unfortunately, frustratingly and very interestingly, the answer, or someone would be able to predict whether it would happen with some success. No-one yet can. *)) |

The quick answer is 'I have it'. It has been raining hard here for much of the day so far. While we did have a warm and dry spell, and I needed to water my wild strawberries on three consecutive days, there is no shortage of the wet stuff here. -- Gianna buchan-meteo.org.uk Yes, much of the country has had above average rainfall and totals in Scotland and many areas in the west have had well above average rainfall so far in May. The rain has been patchy and showery though and although many sites have had plenty of rain, even places in the wetter areas have missed out. We are one of them. It's bone dry here and my water butts are empty again. Philip's analysis to the 11th shows the variation in rainfall between areas, but doesn't show the intra-area variations. East Anglia has been particularly dry, so some areas appear to have had showers today. Again we've missed out in South Devon. 8((. http://www.climate-uk.com/page2.html |
