I won't have to water the veg tonight. The Dawlish Rain Shield actually operated quite well, there looks to have been a lot more rain just to our north, but with luck, it will be breached completely on Sunday. *)) Yesterday we appeared to have had a shield Scotty would be proud of - shower clouds all around for most of the day, but very little rain actually got through. -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham (change 'invalid83261' to 'blueyonder' to email me) Sunday should be the day Paul. I'm expecting full water butts at the end of the day! |

R ETA 10 am if you believe the GFS model. |

Rain tailing off and becoming light in the evening. BTW. Regarding the ETA. More realistically the GFS model perhaps is only reliable to +/- 3 hrs at worst. Could be wet in Dorset by 7 am, or you might have to wait until 1 pm for the heavy rain. |

In fact the rain started by 7am, here in Cheltenham. -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham (change 'invalid83261' to 'blueyonder' to email me) |

R In the end the system has rattled along quite a lot faster than the predictions said it would. I'm sure you would have cancelled your event Robin. I have full water butts with 13mm of rain by 9.00. That's all I ask! Now, with luck, the heaviest rain will have blown through by lunchtime and I'm hoping for some glimpses of the sun this afternoon. |
