Then it'll be dry all night and the rain will start again at 8am

Presenters on national TV shouldn't talk about the weather
in a personal context, as in 'wasn't it terrible this morning as
I drove into work'. Most of the rest of the country won't be
able to relate to that.
It's not a local programme, it's *national*.

To stop it has to start, I think we might have 3 rain drops today.

It's been quite pleasant above 15C for a while, little windy at F4 to
F5 so wind chill down to 3C or there abouts, sunny intervals. One of
those days when it's really rather nice out of the wind.

You really don't like it when examples of 'Southern bias' are presented
to you, do you?

You know I even included a smiley to indicate I wasn't being entirely
serious, more of a wry obsevation than a major gripe.
But someone will come along now and accuse me of having a chip
on my shoulder.

People on national TV shouldn't comment on local events that
have personally affected them. The rest of the country wouldn't
want to hear about traffic jams on the M25 either.

I've mentioned it a grand total of *two* times in the last few weeks.
Hardly bringing it up at every opportunity.

Has it ever ocurred to you that these 'divisive attitudes' are caused
by southerners who by their own unthinking, arrogant ways
consider themselves to be the centre of the (British) universe?
No wonder northerners react against it!

I find this irritating, annoying and it's a little bugbear of mine.
It's not a massive big deal but it's there all the same.

Furthermore, I will continue to comment on weather related instances
of this as I see fit.

continuous heavy rain. The whole system seemed to pivot, with us at the
centre.
