10 almost sunless days on the trot in East Anglia and S.E corner..

Since November 2nd we have had just the briefest glimpses of the sun in
the form of bright intervals. I doubt that it mounts to 6 hours in
total. To make things worse every News 24 evening forecast since last
Wednesday has promised more sunshine for the next day. Then, each
following morning(apart from Thursday, when they stuck to the bright
forecast despite the fog)it has been grey and damp. The same applies
today so we will see if tomorrow brings the brighter skies at last. What
is remarkable is the similarity to Jan and early February last year. The
cloud hangs from the Southern North Sea through the Wash and down into
Northern France.

Well, on t'other side of England it ain't been that bad 'ere, I am sure
you'll be glad and happy to know.....

Though we did have 3 'grim' days when the sun failed to shine (7th, 8th
& 9th), other than that it's been pretty good.

And today is stunning with plenty of warm sunshine, and more butterflies
out than I've seen all summer.

Dang'n'darnation, that lawn needs mowing again.

(12:15), 14.7°C, RH 98%, DP 14.4°C, 1023 hPa (R), Wind 6 mph
SE.......and just under 3 hours of lovely sunshine so far.....

It has been a bit like that in Sussex and Surrey, although Thursday was
decent. We had a sponsored swim in the outdoor pool at work on Friday in
aid of remembrance day and it did look odd to see so many people
swimming with the autumn leaves falling and the mist swirling about. The
pool water temperature was about 12C.
