Default cold westerly type - does anyone else now prefer this to blocked?

Over here in Brussels, the spells of rain are tending to occur during the

My trips to the shops - 20 minutes' walk each way - are made on foot
voluntarily. I have taken in the lesson that it's good to keep active as
you get older. Problem is that I carry my groceries back home in a
rucksack - and I'm not sure what that is doing to my shoulders !

Get a rucksack which has a strap around the waist, then the weight will
be supported by the hips in addition to the shoulders. Much more
comfortable.

I never thought I'd say this but I think I prefer the current synoptic
set-up to blocked. A stunning walk today in bright sunshine, 4.5C and
hoar frost still clinging to the grass. A stunningly bright day
yesterday and a cold, wild and windy on Thursday really lifted the
spirits. I've lost count of the amount of times people have said to me
every weekend - "better make the most of this weather before winter
sets in". I wonder if I'll still be hearing it in March?

Depends on what sort of blocked and how it pans out. It's better than
anticyclonic gloom with around average temps, but not as good as any
form of blocked which might seriously produce snow.
Also down here (Southampton) the bright, crisp days have dominated
over the dull, frontal ones so far - though if we get too many
Atlantic weather systems this week and not enough clear polar air I'll
probably be wishing for a change of type.

Does anyone know who employs Bashir Salamati (Bushy Salami)? Belfort Instruments, Kokucka, and DW probably have some subpoenas for him! Anyone know where Bushy is hiding! Is he posting his trash at another site now? [email protected] sci.geo.meteorology (Meteorology) 0 January 21st 06 12:39 AM
Bushy Salami now harasses a former Belfort employee after turning over secret documents to the TSA harassing someone else! But, again, he is wrong, and now probably shall be sued by all parties he has harassed! WHAT A FRICKEN DUMB ASS! [email protected] sci.geo.meteorology (Meteorology) 3 January 12th 06 07:44 AM
