Wild and stormy day in Brussels
 

Brussels on Tuesday 3rd January 2012

Light rain early on but it was dry by mid-morning. Spitting rain in the
wind from midday. Steady, moderate rain from about 15.30 to 17.30 local
time: cold front passed between 16.00 and 17.00 - no line squall here. Sky
has cleared during the evening - moon and stars shining now.

Strong and squally SSW wind - near gale at times. Gusts to 94 km/hr (51
kn - 58 mph) at Uccle and 83 km/hr (45 kn - 52 mph) at the Airport. Wind
veered WSW at the front and has since decreased to moderate.
