Called in to our local supermarket on the way home from work this evening
and couldn't believe how much space had been given over to flowers. Can't
see them shifting such large quantities by close of play today... could be
some bargains to be had tomorrow for those putting romance on a budget!
Meanwhile, a bit of a dull overcast Valentine's Day, but continuing dry and
mild.
Regards... David Allan.

Nothing "dull or overcast" about Valentine's Day here, apart from the
weather. When your missus' birthday is on 14th Feb, life tends to get
lively!

I can't even begin to imagine the consequences should today have slipped
your mind!

A couple of years back, I recall the blind panic of waking up on a Sunday
morning and remembering it was Valentine's Day and realising I'd forgot all
about it. Wife in the shower, me jumping in the car and going like a bat out
of hell along the road to the florists and managing to try and look cool and
unflustered upon my return as she came downstairs. I reckon I nearly broke
the sound barrier that morning.

A birthday AND Valentine's Day... that's just cruel, that is!

Regards... David Allan.

PS
Happy Birthday from me to your beloved

Didn't slip my mind, both my wife and I ignore Valentines day completely.
Then we both tend not to go along with media driven things. Christmas is
getting that way, but that is still a nice family occasion/holiday.

But then you only have one day to remember instead of two, so surely it
should make life easier?

We have a ball. And the great thing is.......I get a prezzie too.
Anyone who doesn't do Valentine's Day has lost the romance. Not
telling what I bought her!!
