The last of the North Pennine Snow patches melted yesterday on Mickle Fell. Nothing has been visible on Crossfell for a few days now apart from a brief covering from passing showers. Overall the season has been fairly poor compared with recent years when certain patches lasted from December through to June. I can safely report that glaciation of the High Pennines is unlikley this year !
Thanks to Dave, Brian and Mark for their updates this year. Paul Crabtree Brampton, NE Cumbria www.bramptonweather.co.uk |
