Default Over optimistic forecast?

Darren Bett was saying that he wouldn't be surprised if we see
temperatures up to 25C next week. It would be nice but that seems a bit
on the high side although I guess the areas sheltered from the E/NE
could make it.

Like NW England perhaps

But honestly I'd be happy to see the high teens right now,
never mind 25C. I'm tired of this cool weather and the
nagging winds. Still having to put the heating on at times
in quick bursts, just to keep the chill off.

There's going to be some pretty warm air pumped northwards in the second
half of the week, as a high amplitude upper trough edges slowly eastwards in
the east Atlantic. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see 25C somewhere late
in the week.

Above 10C would be nice... Still got my winter tyres on.

Naw that is just far too hot.

I'm tired of this cool weather and the nagging winds.

Quite, the tyre change happens when it becomes warm and dry enough to
do it with out losing the feeling in my hands or getting soaked...

Still having to put the heating on at times in quick bursts, just to

These days we have a new fangled device called a "thermostat". This
switchs things, like heating, on and off without you having to do
anything! The really clever ones can even adjust the temperature they
switch on/off at according to time of day and day of week. B-)

Not being one to complain of course this constant cloud cover over southeast
England is beginning to get on my left mammary.
Almost regardless of the synoptic setup the weather seems to get into a
repetitive mode ,or as P.Eden would say 'it's got a memory'
How can that be ?
The Met Office gurus whilst mentioning how cold i'ts been ,there has been
very little reference to how dull it's been, with the exception of guys like
John Hammond ,or baldilocks, they seem to be afraid ofsaying anything which
could possibly be disputed by any pedant with an agenda issue (present
company excepted of course)
Have a nice day

There's no need for sarcasm.
It's a very old central heating system.

=============================

I already posted in another thread (yesterday) that 25C is possible
next week, and we've been floating this possibility for a little while
now.

Maybe Darren Bett lurks...

Then I might even have to swap the central heating for the air
conditioner.

Too long on the computer.
Is the PSU fan blowing in your direction?
Something like that could be an irritant.
