25/5/12 sticky in Haytor
Horrible sticky night with a min. of +15.4C. As I said yesterday mins. 13C
are not that common on Dartmoor (average min. for July is 11.5C). Now at 0810 temperature is already +20.4C heralding a possible record hot May day. Hazy sun giving Dartmoor a rather surreal look in the heat. http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |

This morning the utility room solid floor was damp and still is, and so was the laminated kitchen floor. Bring back the lovely clear, dry and cooler polar air! http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |

A steady decline as I drove home with cloud coming about 20 miles inland, then thick fog off the North Sea within a couple of miles of home and 12.2 when I got there at 9.00pm. David Mitchell. Horrible sticky night with a min. of +15.4C. Almost warm enough to take one layer out of the duvet. A few more degrees and it would be warm enough to have a bedroom window open at night. ;-) My seedlings are welcoming the warm weather - you can almost see them growing. Any idea how long this is going to last, Will? |

Any idea how long this is going to last, Will? The warmth is going to last a while but we will lose the high wet-bulbs tonight/tomorrow (here in the SW). Have to say the garden is growing well here too. http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |
