I saw it from my window around 23.56 BST travelling slowly from E to W
in the S. It was amazing, travelling slowly for 20 seconds or so across the sky. By a long way the best meteorite I've ever seen, if not the best thing I've ever seen. It was so striking I feared it was a plane or something coming down, so relieved to find out it's not. On 2012-09-21 22:10:58 +0000, Alan LeHun said: In article , says... Paul Kielder observatory reporting sighting of huge fireball, terminating in the east mag -6 to -7. Tweets from much of ENgland and south Scotland. So yes, other people have seen it. But not me. -- Trevor Startled in Lundie, in the Sidlaw Hills, 10m NW of Dundee, elev. 185m Weather through www.trevorharley.com |

People are saying there’s a meteor shower overhead. They are wrong it’s an alien invasion. I just caught an alien having a **** in my back garden. He wasn’t happy when I threw a bucket of water over him, the dirty bugger. All he had to do was ring the door bell, and he could have used the toilet. LOL |

BBC are now reporting it as "thought to be a meteor shower" … what else? The war of the worlds has begun. Trevor |

No. It was not seen from the South because it was cloudy there. I believe there was a report from Norfolk. Roger |
