The first real taste of winter today as temperatures dropped and showers of sleet and hail came down the northeast coast. It was 2.8C at lunchtime, and although the afternoon saw the showers die away and the temperatures picking up slightly, it still felt perishing on the homeward journey from work. Turned the thermostat up a notch after getting indoors!
