Dartmoor looking like the Alps this morning, from my view at work in Newton Abbot, now that the cloud base has lifted slightly.

Sorry, Lawrence, the Brueghels were from Brussels !

I rather think that Lawrence's tongue might have been in his cheek.

Pieter Brueghel the Elder lived and worked here in this house
http://goo.gl/maps/I0t90 . You can see the metal plaque on the
wall which says so. It is now the Brueghel Museum http://www.o

Pieter Brueghel the Younger, his son, was born in Brussels

For those in the UK, BBC4 has a documentary in a day or two about how
artists have been inspired by winter landscapes, which should be of
interest to many.

Hi David, it is simply stunning up here now the light has improved.
Shirt sleeve weather in the warm sunshine too! :-)
Yet more snow tomorrow.

I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that you are completely bonkers Will, lol.

Now that the sun has come out, Dartmoor is looking stunning from Newton Abbot.

I am :-)
Had my lunchtime coffee sat outside on the terrace looking over Lyme Bay.
I did have a fleece on though. LOL

Superb on Hay Tor this afternoon on the dog walk David.
No wind, warm sunshine and still deep snow with drifts. Also there is now a
lot of ice, on parts of the summit you cannot walk without crampons, nearly
went arse over head a couple of times which was funny!
It just felt so marvellous and privileged to be up there today, low humidity
and warm sunshine over snow cover was uplifting.

Different story tomorrow grin
