Very mild with T +11.0C D +11.0C.
Last of my snow piles has now gone.
Horizontal lashing rain and drizzle.
Wind WSW F5 at home but F7 on the exposed moor.

1630
A strong wind gust (31 knots on 3m high anemo, but certainly more than that
round the house where funnelled) has just destroyed a mature Camellia.
Snapped it clean off at the base. I feel quite tearful as I was very fond of
that bush.
Can't curse the wind though, it's just nature!
Rain is still lashing down and still very mild T +10.7C.

Will, it may sprout again from the root, so perhaps all is not lost.
