I think it's worth mentioning that here on the central south coast of
England, the day maximum occurred unusually late in the day for the
conditions and time of year. My maximum was 22.4 deg C at 7:22pm BST.
And what a fabulous evening it was, too!

I initially suspected my instruments but the reading is consistent
with Solent MRSC just down the road, which reported 22.1 at 15:00 and
16:00 BST, and 21.8 at 19:00 BST. Light northerlies too, so what an
evening! :)
