This was a great ng, years ago.

Where are they now?

We had our distractors like nguk, redtube, and who could forget matt the
ego.

I'd like to see this ng become more courteous and professional again.

Sadly Mike Tullett died a couple of years back.
He taught me so much, with great patience.

Some of us are still about, but rarely if ever post. Many of us
figured in Les Crossan's 'mugshots' in the 90's. The only regular
'Mugshot' who still posts is Norman. If I remember, Jack Harrison,
Norman and I were the three bearded ones. And whilst we are
going back to the 'stione age', let us not forget Paul Bartlett.

........I think that's the first time I've ever been described as "a regular
mugshot"!!!!!!!!!!!! We were indeed the 3 bearded ones. I don't think I would
recognise myself without the beard. It's 50 years since it was last removed.

I remember him quite well.

I still post from time to time, as I think do Martin and George. We know
why Will largely stopped posting, because he told us, and can make a
fair guess about why Philip stopped. And, of course, very sadly we know
why Mike stopped.

Sadly, it's unlikely to happen. But there's still plenty of good stuff
being posted if you skip the interminable AGW wrangles.

......but with careful use of kill-files and filters all of the unwanted stuff
can be eliminated very easily. I don't see any of it unless someone quotes it.
For me this is still a courteous and professional place. Perhaps I do
occasionally filter out some stuff that I would actually like to read but
that's a small penalty to pay to ensure that the unwanted stuff is eliminated.
