I've already had a sneaky look around on Google Street View and peered in his windows. I despise hatred and unnecessary conflict and want no part of it. Well said. Dawlish may well have been the original troublemaker (and he came with a reputation) but that doesn't excuse a number of others behaving just as badly in return. I now make no distinction between any of 'em, they are all as bad as each other and should be utterly ashamed of themselves. I agree. I think they must get some perverse enjoyment out of being at least as obnoxious as the one they are criticising otherwise they'd just ignore him. Anyway, no skin off my nose, just more additions to my kill-file. -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks. Last time I looked, it appeared that alt.global-warming is a denialist site. Ooh! Where do I sign on? Dawlish s just a clown on here and elsewhere. What has really hurt this group is arguments about climatology and especially glowballs. It is a complete waste of energy arguing about politics, 0.6 degrees centigrade "averages"(FGS!) sadstinctics and molecules of plant nutrient put out since time immemorial by forests, oceans, coal mine gas leaks and volcanic eruptions. |

I despise hatred and unnecessary conflict and want no part of it. Too true. Return evil for evil to no man but treat others as you would have them treat you would be a fine dictum if it were not for US deputees and British cyclists on You Tube and Dawlish on newsgroups. Pity that. I am sure most of us would have been much more forgiving had he not infested the place with sock puppets (second and third e-mail addresses used to boulster his assertions on his primary address. Most of his wounds were self inflicted by poor netiquette, not that I have room to talk. But he just won't be told. It is an obvious flaw in his personality which we would be glad to overlook if only we knew him "better" -the way you would treat someone with brain damage or some other affliction. But the internet is an antisocial connection full of all sorts of injurious immoderateness. And I am afraid he can't engineer sock puppets well enough to get himself out of it. |

It says a lot about you though! Not cricket, eh? Dawlish has been bowling bouncers, bodyline and beamers and indulging in turbo-sledging from the moment he arrived here 5 years ago. He has not played by the rules, or at least the conventions and ettiquette, and gives the impression of thinking that he is above such things. He won't suffer from the publication of his address etc (it's been done before here) but if he does then it bloody well serves him right. He has arrogantly abused this group and it is diminished as a result. I, for one, don't feel like posting nearly as much as I did. If it's Open Season on Dawlish then I'll go along with that because bullies like him need confronting and given a dose of their own medicine. How ironic that someone in education should have a personality that brings out the worst in others because he does, doesn't he? Come on! :-) He ought to be ashamed of himself but the effect of all this will be the opposite such is his lack of self-awareness. It'll just feed his persecution or inferiority complex. Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey Hmmmmm. If a stalker wishes to publish completely public information about me to a public forum, with the intention of "outing" me with information that people already know about me, it is of little worry. I don't conceal that information, as I have no need to. The stalker does need to. The stalker lives in America. I know exactly where. I know the companies with whom he takes temporary contracts and I know the make of guitar he plays in his spare time and the far right-wing group with whom he associates himself. He has nothing to do with uk.sci.weather and he stalks me as he cannot stand me opposing his mad views on GW. I know; it's sad. He has issued threats against me on numerous occasions on another newsgroup and his full details reside with my solicitor. There is no need to publish them here. Oh my god, Garvey taking the moral high ground? THats a joke! And about the funniest thing he has written in ages! |
