A link would provide us with a laugh. http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature...d-winter-blast When you actually read the article you find that it is predicting no more than pretty normal conditions for early November. 'The mercury is set to plummet as low as -4C (25F) early next week in remote parts of the North with up to four inches of snow expected on higher ground in Scotland' Amazing. -- Col Bolton, Lancashire 160m asl Snow videos: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3QvmL4UWBmHFMKWiwYm_gg Thank you Col At first I guffawed at the amazingly unusual prospect of 4" of snow at 400m in the Cairngorms in November and then felt quite sad at the number of people that will be influenced by this utter crap. With luck it will publicise the ski industry and bring some much-needed income. It's effectively a re-hash of what the MetO has on it's site with an indication that the extreme (80mph gales - which are likely to be recorded in an/a few very exposed locations) will be the norm, courtesy of the idiot, Powell. All you can do is wonder, but it's an indication that providing front page headlines of extreme weather sells newspapers like the Express. |
