Won't be long before you see snow Ken! It's due, end of Oct beginning of Nov is not uncommon for us. Is it me or does this year seem to have gone very quickly from summery and bright to wintery and dark? The dark is the clocks shifting, but it has been unseasonably mild during Sept and Oct. Almost had to scrape the windscreen at 0530 this morning but a few passes of the wipers cleared the wet ice. B-) -- Cheers Dave. Nr Garrigill, Cumbria. 421m ASL. |

Dave I've noticed it getting dark too Dave, mind you, I notice it most years around this time! *)) Dunno about wintry; nowhere near a frost in Dawlish so far. |

The Velux window is an excellent detector for solid stuff in the precipitation :-) In this wind direction we get a continuous stream of showers developing as the wind off Liverpool Bay is forced to rise over the high ground. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. |

Can't see GDF from here, Crossfell is to backlit by the bright sun lit clouds to be anything but black buldge. Current W force 6/7 here, one of those heat-sapping winds. You think the house is well insulated (:0( Only showing F3/4 here but the NW'ly direction is a sheltered. It's not a day one wants to spend very long outside in the wind. Not bad if in the sunshine and sheltered though. No sign of showers here, think we are just in the rain shadow of Dumfries & Galloway. Oil consumption has gone up in the last couple few weeks from around 25 l/week to 75 l/week. B-( -- Cheers Dave. Nr Garrigill, Cumbria. 421m ASL. |
