Do you really believe I was linking their demise to the sale of fans?

To be fair Lawrence, that was the implication of your post.

Come on Col I say many things that are tongue in cheek and seriously piling high electric fans that didn't sell based on a BBQ forecast wouldn't necessarily cause bankruptcy but it would be a blow. Get it?

More crap from the crapmeister.

I don't have a "sock puppet master".

==============================

The underlying problem is that he (Lawrence Jenkins) clearly doesn't have a

clue as to the meaning of the term, which he obviously picked up at the

Humpty Dumpty School of Etymology. It's rather like a toddler picking up on

a dirty word for the first time and can't then resist blurting it out at

every opportunity, oblivious to its irrelevance.

I agree - Col is being much too kind, but kindness is a rare commodity in

these parts and perhaps to be encouraged.

Hey you can call me Larry, what's your name big boy?

Sorry, I would appear not to have a sig set up in this current Win8
iteration of simple-minded piece of software called Windows Live Mail 2012!
It seems to think I'm called 'General'. But several on here know me, at
least in a business connection. There's nothing hidden or anonymised and the
email address is real so it would be a trivial exercise to find out the
details!

I don't like to pry but I think it does devalue greatly a persons point of view or comments if that hide behind a fake person; I mean the GENERAL, I ask you.

You don't really read what's written do you? It's just coming from an
account that's associated with a postmaster account called general@etc on
the mail server here. Somewhere along the line the super-clever news
protocol seems to truncate this simply to 'general'. (Wouldn't have this
problem with a proper web forum.)

If I'm posting here about less trivial matters, you'll probably find a sig
was added manually - I refer you to those posts.
