**Forecast: UK weather mainly dominated by anticyclonic conditions atT+240 on Monday 10th March**

An end to the zonal train in sight.

**On Monday 10th March, at T+240, the UK's weather will be dominated by high pressure. For most areas, the weather will be settled, with light winds and plenty of sunshine, for many areas. Early spring frosts may be quite widespread, if skies stay clear at night, but days will be pleasant and springlike, for many. It is not possible to predict exactly where the centre of the anticyclone will be positioned, with respect to the UK, but any rain will be confined to windward coasts.**

Spring, at last.

Hooray. Was expecting you to post this soon. Could be a chance it might
start a bit sooner but obviously less confidence. A pattern change at last!

I didn't have 80% confidence, Dave. I sincerely hope I'm right! UKMO does not have the same confidence in their 6-15 Day précis.

Nothing that makes me feel that we are not in for a major change in our weather by the 10th.

'Days'?
Is this forecast for the 10th or for......
Oh never mind :)

I really hope you are right, when was the last time we had
any high pressure bar the odd transient ridge, early December?

It was indeed, early December. iIRC the weather changed during the second week and has remained solidly zonal ever since.

It really is looking gorgeous on Monday and through most of next week, for much of the UK. Peachy!
