Default [OT] BT Accesss to Newsgroups Ending

BT sent me an email saying it is ending its access to Newsgroups as part
of its subscription.

I know people access uk.sci.weather via a third party subscription.
What's the cheapest?!!

I don't want to use Google Groups.

There are some free outfits, such as Eternal September. Personally, I
use the admirable news.individual.net (aka NIN). For a modest 10 euros a
year (IIRC) it provides an excellent service, in particular being
excellent at filtering out spam. Go to http://news.individual.net/ for
more info.

Fortunately all newsgroups are still available on Virginmedia, however it
wouldn't surprise me if they went down the BT route.

I've registered with Eternal September, but I still can't see
the full list of newsgroups. Any tips, anyone? (Outlook Express
..... yes, I know)
