BT sent me an email saying it is ending its access to Newsgroups as part
of its subscription. I know people access uk.sci.weather via a third party subscription. What's the cheapest?!! I don't want to use Google Groups. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

I don't want to use Google Groups. There are some free outfits, such as Eternal September. Personally, I use the admirable news.individual.net (aka NIN). For a modest 10 euros a year (IIRC) it provides an excellent service, in particular being excellent at filtering out spam.
