Because nobody can be /that/ stupid and still use a keyboard?
I don't think even 'Jim Cannon' takes what Jim Cannon posts seriously..

The point is though, that the rest of us are, I believe, smart enough to
see an idiot when an idiot appears. We don't /need/ to have it pointed
out to us after each and every post.

And especially not by re-quoting the entire spiel if idiocy.

Translated as: he's an idiot, but you'd hate to agree with me, lehun. larry is exactly the same and you agree with that too. What I do is to have the guts to call an idiot an idiot, whereas your only claim to fame, as far as I'm concerned, is that you have millet for breakfast, lunch and tea. *))

I take your attention to my posts as a compliment Ive been called far worse and to quote you: its water off a ducks back

What amazes me is he goes out on a limb month after month and the fact is he would do better throwing a dart at a board blindfold!.
Of course it may be he has the germ of a good system here. If his "system" forecasts 'warm' then all he has to do is forecast 'cold' and vice versa.

Reminded of a cartoon from fortyish years ago in the Mail(?). Two
forecasters playing darts. Dartboard has different types of weather
marked on it. The mat has three oche markings: the one nearest the board
is "short range", next is "medium range", then furthest is "long range".

If there is any substantial snowfall in that period outside high
ground in the north I shall be astonished. In fact - at least for the
southern half of the UK - the weather looks like being positively
benign for the time of year, with nothing worse than a little fog and
frost. I see you've quoted the Daily Express in support of Pier's
forecast, which smacks of desperation.

That way,.the Express and Piers go round in ever-decreasing circles,
with the inevitable end result :-)

Now that would be a very positive outcome!

Why do lazy ignorant red top editors fall for these weather charlatans
shock horror cold winter weather in winter scare stories. Do they never
notice that they are inevitably wrong? Or is it just that they will
publish anything if it sells more newspapers (s/news/gossip/).

There is a chance of an M-class solar flare in the next couple of days
with a tinier chance of seeing an aurora in Northern England watch
Spaceweather or AuroraWatch for genuine predictions and updates.

It is rather dull and quiet today

Don't forget to look for Geminid meteors on 14th Dec if skies are clear
- they can put on a decent show.

It would be good if the BBC's planned Weather Competition (I think that was the name?) that Roger Harrabin was promoting went ahead. It would at least align the various forecasting camps into "competing". This is the sort of thing that I'd happily give my spare time towards to help facilitate. Would be very interesting indeed.

Le Hun, Richard Dixon , Will, Tudor, me , Jim Cannon that list of yours grows longer by the day. It shows how paranoid you are when you think we all have it in for you and yet none of us are about as keen on each other as we are on you.

Get a grip man.
