LeHun writes In article , says... Guts that you don't have. You know he is an idiot and just won't say because it would expose you as a hypocrite. How on earth would that make me a hypocrite? I don't understand your reasoning for saying that. Dawlish doesn't seem to appreciate that your point is not about whether or not Lawrence is an idiot, but that continuing to reply with the sole word "idiot" - when we are all by now well aware that that is his opinion - achieves nothing beyond reducing the group's signal to noise ratio. It's clearly water off a duck's back to Lawrence, and is discourteous to the rest of us reading it as it means that we have wasted our time reading a post that contains no constructive content. -- John Hall "Never play cards with a man called Doc. ... I have noticed that threads often drift in this way when Dawlish is involved, as though he be incapable of following threads. It's like he takes every post in isolation and replies within the framework of an imagined context that is drawn from the groups recent history in general. And you will be an idiot for not understanding that context. I blame google groups. I blame the people who respond to his inanity and insults, or just comment on his behaviour! Half of the posts in those threads come from them! Cheers, Alastair. |
