One cold day in the East and no snow is a cold spell? I can't use the
Pythonesque "This is getting silly" though as it already was.

What is certain is that there is no greater charlatan than the Great
Weather Charlatan and his devoted illiterate sock puppet Loose Cannon.

There was some sleety snow falling in fog at the highest point on the
trans Pennine M62 on Saturday but it wasn't sticking at 3C ambient.
Curiously it was actually falling as rain on the Manchester side
although the air temperature had fallen to 1C according the the cars
outside thermometer. Manchester clearly has the power to make it rain!

They might get excited about possible SSW, but surely not /that/
excited!

One can only assume that judging by the chaotic lay out of this page ,his
mind must be similar, therefore any attempts at forecasting
should be ignored at best or treated with total bewilderment by any self
respecting weather enthusiast, like the current 'cold spell'
or the 5 foot of snow beggars belief.
If anybody actually pays for this drivel they have my deepest sympathy.
Happy New Year

Ha! I've always thought that. A mind full of unintelligible acronyms and luminous yellow highlighting in a dense, Arial Black italic font. What a benchmark for clarity he sets. It's this total lack of clarity that I guess also allows for his unique verification of the work - e.g. "The Germans stole our snow".

I don't think I've ever seen someone try to end a sentence in the midst
of a subordinate clause before.

(I can't do a weather update as I'm not there.)

I saw the History of Everything at the weekend. I wonder what Stephen Hawking makes of this particular fellow astrophysicist? It beggars belief
