I had to really think hard to decide whether, in the context of my
remembered lifetime, this really was even a "cold snap" here. But I've decided it was one of 4 days length. The average temperature was around 4C and it didn't go above 5C for the four days and two were less than 4C. It was reinforced by a few flakes of snow one day and a few bursts of wet snow and sleetiness on another. Either side of this were seven consecutive days of air frosts which just about clinched it. It will be instantly forgotten by the time this month is out due to its feebleness. Dave, S.Essex |
