Default UKMO: 2014 The Warmest...Oops,One of the warmest years on Record

Well that's a climb-down from 2THE WARMEST YEAR ON RECORD" to

Shhh...erm... one of the warmest years on record.

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/news/rel...al-temperature

So what's new, the 19 year plateau continues as C02 rises

Note Updated the 26th January 2015

Also note that Graham is very quiet about this after posting , almost bragging it was the warmest year on record

Why do you always make an idiot of yourself? Is it deliberate?

GISS, which Graham showed you, showed 2014 was the warmest on record. NOAA did too. HADCRUT shows the equal warmest. The key is that the world is warmer than it ever has been in recorded history despite there being no El Nino.. Every series records slightly differently, but you have no concept of that fact and you comment from pure ignorance.

As usual, you took no notice of what Graham correctly told you and ploughed on, demonstrating no understanding, because, simply, you have to. Your beliefs force you to do this and you are making yourself look stupid.

Here's someone else saying exactly the same thing as I have many times this year, in the MetO report *you haven't actually read*; you've simply gone straight for the headline, because that suits you.

'Phil Jones, of the University of East Anglia, said: "2014 was an exceptionally warm year which saw warm tropical pacific temperatures, despite not being officially regarded as an El Niño." '

Yet again, larry; idiot.

You are not only an idiot you are a bare faced lair to
The fanfare was WARMEST YEAR EVER . Do you understand that you moron? We all know that temps have risen but they have plateaued -do you grasp that term plateau? It means neither no clear up or no clear down in other words FLAT.

That means you resident clown, that the earths temperature has stopped rising
despite C02 still rising. Now the whole premise of AGW is that Co2 has been and is the main driver for global temperatures and if co2 is still rising on its established trajectory that there is a serious disconnect between theory and reality. Do you comprehend that major point. It also shows that UKMO have had to change their tact as they know the blogging world of sceptics is watching .

If not for the sceptics the lie machine would roll on with impunity and funding .

Remember your leader 'Old Man in a Cave' https://fergusbrown.wordpress.com/

who in 2009 predicted all Arctic sea ice would be gone by 2011

here's another classic post by your leader - I call him leader as you sought advice from him for your blog that never saw the light of day, anyhow Fergus is obviously a left wing loon like you and he openly admits his admiration of Lenin and actually uses a Lenin book title for his own prattling's about climate change, Ne calls this article "WHAT IS to be DONE" comrades

From the article that you've linked to: "Nominally this ranks 2014 as
the joint warmest year in the record, tied with 2010, but the
uncertainty ranges mean it's not possible to definitively say which of
several recent years was the warmest."

If the two warmest years in the record are 2010 and 2014 then, whichever
order they should go in, that doesn't sound like a 19 year plateau to
me.

Hmm maybe I misinterpreted this part

Colin Morice, a climate monitoring scientist at the Met Office, said: "Uncertainties in the estimates of global temperature are larger than the differences between the warmest years. This limits what we can say about rankings of individual years.

"We can say with confidence that 2014 is one of ten warmest years in the series and that it adds to the set of near-record temperatures we have seen over the last two decades."

Lawrence

Message for your good self and some of the other assorted flat-earthers, fruitcakes, loonies and "severe onanists" (copyright Tory party) who post to this newsgroup.

Point one. We have seven thousand million human beings on the planet. Although some (such as yourself, Lawrence) spout hot air front and back, in general an average person emits the same energy as a (continuously burning) 100 watt lightbulb. Multiply that out, and there's a huge amount of warmth being generated. Obviously only a person of superior intellect has the wisdom to deny a link to rising global temperature, rising sea-levels, glaciers thawing, etc.

Point two. Read my lips Mr Lawyer. There is no link whatsoever between weather and volcanoes. And neither can you somehow extrapolate those two things to forecast tornadoes. Please stick to horoscopes and tealeaves.

Point three. This posting is admittedly an example of how personal abuse has diminished this newsgroup. Is it possible to keep comments such as "idiot" and "moron" to yourself? And can we block people like Joe, our esteemed Wolverhampton member for the National Front? Is there a moderator?

Point four. What this NG could be very useful for is a campaign against the hyperbole and outright stupidity of modern media weather reporting. Let's face it, young journalists are just plain thick. They can't help it, it's a generational thing, and they're sadly goaded on by Madden & associates. But if they can be encouraged to put today's "massive MINUS THREE severe 1cm blizzards of death, colder than ANTARCTICA" in historical context by people who remember the 1980s...

Cheers to all, despite the rant

So I take it from that remark that AGW bandwagon is generally driven by the left.

Thanks Dave for a very honest revealing remark

As Bill Bryson points out all life that we know on this planet literally lives in the varnish if we used an atlas as a guide to scale of planet and atmosphere we are akin to microbes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------That is just left wing guardian garbage about Joe.

In my case I have only ever resorted to that language due to a couple of people full stop.

Please direct this fire at one individual only thank you.

But I do find your stance very shrill and hypocritical after calling all those whose do not entirely agree that co2 increasing is the main driver in climate and then calling them what was it now. ah yes
