I'm glad I'm not in Gt Yarmouth
Rain on the way for them.
Sun is out here. Mr Blue Sky and all that. Rather pleasant. 12C and rising Wind west now and only 5 knots. Far more agreeable compared with yesterday's gloom. Len Wembury SW Devon |

The sun is out, the sky is blue There's not a cloud, to spoil the view But its.......bah! Sunny here too now the rainless cold front has passed through. Then again, even before there were a few glimpses of the sun but nothing like yesterday's unbroken sunshine. Temperature 11.6C and falling slowly after peaking at 12.8C this afternoon. Still waiting to beat the highest temperature of the year so far with 16.3C on the 9th January. David Braine said yesterday would be the warmest day of the year so far.... not for 'ere. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

Couple of pics http://www.easterling.freeserve.co.uk/pn.html (Look away Alan!) Last year at the same time there was NO sand at the bottom of the slip in the bottom picture. I think winter 2013-14 was near enough unique for the persistent and unusually southerly WNW-ESE track of major depressions. Graham Penzance |

Couple of pics http://www.easterling.freeserve.co.uk/pn.html (Look away Alan!) They're hardy souls.... SST between 9.5C and 10C, brrrr! I haven't surfed at this time of the year for many years now. Need the SST to reach +15C before I am ready to venture in (wetsuit required). I had a paddle on the beach on Friday and my toes went numb. The SST is 8.5C in Lyme Bay at the moment so a tad below normal. On this day last year the SST was 9.7C. Hard to believe the offshore SST reached a rather pleasant 20.8C last July. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

I guess it depends on your location - yesterday we had 15.9, which was the warmest by nearly 2 degrees C. -- Freddie Pontesbury, Shropshire 102m AMSL http://www.hosiene.co.uk/weather/ https://Twitter.com/PontesburyWx for hourly reports |
