Leeds Snow June 1975

Leeds June 1975
I was watching a cricket match at Roundhay school in Leeds during a lull in our exams, said cricket match was abandoned due to a heavy snow shower. So I can confirm the story.

Yes, I thought that there would have been snow at higher elevations
in Leeds and I would fefinately have experienced it. It's just a pity I
don't remember, it would have caused considerable excitement!

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through
our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that
democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'
