A maximum of just 15.4C this afternoon and a rather brisk WNW wind made
for a cool end to Spring. That wind was on the cold side whilst walking along the beach this afternoon despite the strong sunshine. It was good to get out of that and seek some shelter. Today was the coldest 31st of May since 2007 (15.3C). Hopefully all this nonsense will be over in a couple of days and something rather more respectably warm will allow me to get back in the hammock. Here's to a long, hot, sunny and humid summer (good sea warming stuff) with a few thunderstorms thrown in to keep the countryside a bit green. Anything like 2013 or last year would be OK. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
