Default UKMO rainfall etc. map

Are the lines on the map the meteorological regions it uses? If so is
there no southern or central southern England. Anglia seems to go as far
west as Dunstable and Didcot seems to be in the S.E. The SW goes as far
East as Bournemouth. Is this right? Also most of the towns don't posses
a marking dot so are spread out across the length of their name.
