There is no "e" in lightning.

Depends if you classify it as electrical or energy.

There is no e in the sense of thunder and lightning. you should know that. I assume it was a typo in Paul's post.

But the atomsphere was pregnant with electrostatic charge.

OMG, you really don't get it at all do you?

However, don't worry I think I have found the cause of your problems. On many occasions you do this "shakes head". I seriously believe that you do so much head shaking that it is causing you brain damage. I would get this checked out as soon as possible, not just for your sake, but for the sanity of all newsgroup users.

Pretty poor display here Ken. Woke at 0400 and there was distant infrequent lightening (sic, for Dawlish). Looking at the lightning monitors most of the activity was off Flamborough and Scarborough and also West and North of Scarborough on the North York Moors.
Plenty of rain, but no idea how much. Haven't had time to sort my rain gauge problems, so 0mm for the Davis and 15.4mm for the Oregon, but this packed in at some point.
Incidentally, 42mm recorded in June, so not so dry here.
