Penzance - Thunderstorm & Torrential Rain
A thunderstorm around 05:00 dropped 23.0mm, the bulk of which fell in around half an hour.
Together with the 43mm event of 23rd/24th July, rainfall this summer has now topped the normal for the whole of summer (though on a below normal number of rain days) Minimum temperature last night was 16.2C. Saturday http://www.sennen-cove.com/8aug15.htm & Sunday http://www.sennen-cove.com/9aug15.htm were rather contrasting days here, not just weather, but swellwise. There were breaks in the clifftop / hill fog with a bit of shlter. Graham Penzance |

Currently lovely warm sunny spells, more cloud inland, http://www.minack.com/a-living-theatre/webcams/ . Also lighter winds than yesterday, though plenty of lump on the sea. Graham Penzance |
