Very unclear in forecast and from graphics where exactly they will go.
The impression was they would miss East of London but I think they were
being deliberately vague.

There is an embryo MCS forming near Brest and that will head up towards west
Devon tonight. Plenty of informed discussion on this and Thu/Fri events on
uk.weatherworld partly from yours truly!

Yes it's a brilliant site. Thunderstorms have been sitting just west of Brest for some considerable time now, with little movement. There are now some signs of them edging NNE.

I have had it open (the app) all evening on my S4 mini device :-)

It's now a young MCS with a developing circular cloud shield. The situation
is de-stabilising all the time as the upper trough overruns the high theta-w
plume. Blitzortnung is going ballistic now with new cells popping up to NE
of Brest MCS and elsewhere. It's promising to be a memorable night, but I'll
be powering down my PC as soon as the strikes get within 30km.

Looking at its current track, eastern bit, looks like I might be in with
a chance.
