Sunny but very hazy with rapidly rising temperature after early low cloud, and becoming hot and humid during the afternoon. Increasingly cloudy during the early evening, and very dark and threatening by 19.15 local time.

Torrential rain and squally wind from 19.30: occasional flickering lightning and subdued thunder, and some small hail mixed in the rain. Rain eased off and stopped soon after 20.00 but occasional thunder could still be heard for some time afterwards. Light ENE to E wind, but fierce squalls during the storm.
