You may say that but below freezing wind chill and thick fog (less than 100
metres vis.) is quite common up here in winter above 400 metres, often
accompanied by drizzle droplets and a good breeze. Not that common in
September though! :-) Fogs up here are of the thick hill fog variety for
which no warnings are issued despite them often being thicker (and freezing
sometimes) than radiation fogs lower down.

That'll be the dreaded auto-correct that's the bane of my online
life, and people not being arsed to check their work afterwards. I
cringe a dozen times a day when I see it.

Arctic plunge.

It's the scourge of posting on mobile devices. My desktop computer has no

For the British general public, fog is less than 200 yards (180m)
visibility and thick fog less than 100. Otherwise. fog is defined
occurs when visibility is less than 1km and thick fog less than 200m.

Neither has my tablet or mobile phone because I turned autocorrect and
spelling checkers OFF! My texts and online ramblings are now quicker
to do and one heck of a lot more accurate.
