Default Cold front turns thundery - Yorkshire Coast

Seems the cold front turned thundery today after it had clear my location Saturday morning. Anyone on the yorkshire coast see any of the lightning?
Not sure what synopic situation caused the front develope thunder storms that continued even out to sea?

Very heavy showers as I drove south on the A1 around Morpeth about 3pm. Lots of lightning warnings from Blitzortung and AlertsPro on my mobile but nothing seen.

Just to the North of here. Some brief heavy bursts and could hear some thunder from Scarborough direction.

I don't think it was the cold front which must have passed through around dawn. It must have been an active trough that crossed northern England. The earlier charts had a bent back occlusion but tht doesn't fit well with thunderstorms.

I heard thunder early afternoon during brief heavy shower, but didn't see
any lightning. Just to the south of me over the Humber.
