Default Pz 2nd Nov. Marginally cooler, breezy but unbroken sunshine

Woke to clear skies this morning, and it's been sunny ever since. No repeat of yesterdays record breaking temperature though.

Temperature around 15C by 09:00, but in a slowly increasing easterly breeze it has only risen slowly. Maximum of 16.1C. Once again it's misty and quite a bit cooler over the Lizard plateau, but not so over the Penwith Moors where the sunshine has also been unbroken (so far) http://www.sunrecorder.net/googlemap...serial=1000 5 .

The Lizard always catches any low cloud going in an easterly.

Yes it does. It fact there's a pretty cloudy area along the spine of the Lizard. Not only (like today) is the plateau shrouded in low cloud, but during fair weather there is frequently a line of Cu down the spine of the Lizard due to sea breeze convergence.http://penzanceweather.atspace.com/wpage6.html

The lizard, as today, shelters Penzance in an easterly, this afternoons satellite imagery demonstrates that rather nicely.

Some cliff top low cloud now starting to form on the east facing west side of Mount's Bay.
