I looked at the first link, first picture, first banner and saw the headline

'to change everything we need everyone'

Why do we need to change everything ?

Then we have the 'hall of shame'

Why, because they disagree?

So everyone who doesn't agree with o mob of greem lefty loons should be shamed.

There's tolerance for you.

We move on to the 'about us' section and I see Michael Meacher is an Honorary Vice-President. Wasn't it Michael Meacher who believed El Nino was a hurricane?

Of course this dynamic thrusting based on reality movement don't even realise Michael Meacher is dead.

Oh dear. as Terry Thomas would have said. "what an absolute shower".

Could say loads more and maybe will tomorrow.

This is all very noble, Alastair, but will there really be any positive outcomes from the march, aside from the "We need to do something about the pollution!!"

With the thoroughly depressing stories coming out tonight about the possible power shortfalls this winter - helpfully plugged by taxpayer-funded polluting diesel generators - surely peoples' energies should be being focused elsewhere - at the ballot box?

Scott,
We won't be able to go to the ballot box for another four and a half years. The Paris conference is in four weeks time. We need to make it clear to the government that they must do everything possible to make Paris a success. We owe it to our grandchildren.

Oh no!!!! Another four weeks to save the planet, That's very short notice Alastair. By the way those sea-side town ice cream vans haven't changed their routes yet to avoid rising sea levels.

Yes indeed. How much CO2 do fighter planes emit? Given the millions of
pounds spent on sorties in Iraq and Syria to no real advantage, one wonders
at the effectiveness of such a march.

No, but they had to rebuild the track at Dawlish after that was washed away. But then you don't care what happens to Dawlish :-)

Can you imagine climate deniers organising such a march? It would be more like a short queue, with no-one being able to agree why they were there and where they were supposed to go. 😀

PS It's not 'a march' it is '*many* global marches' and several in the UK. It will raise awareness and the record global temperatures over the last two years and in the last decade overall, continuing the global upward trend in temperatures will further focus public opinion away from silly, ignorant, far right wing, agenda-ridden climate deniers.
