Does anyone have an idea where the recent three part dramatisation of the Agatha Christie novel "And then there were none" was filmed?

IMDB says that it was filmed around Newquay Cornwall, but I never realised that there was any Island like that off the coast of Cornwall?

The two jagged rocks just offshore where the small boy drowned don't look familiar either. I thought it looked more like the west coast of Ireland.

I thought this was going to be a thread about how many hockey sticks deep the Hydrocarbohydate gets this time of year.

I thought it might be Lundy Island due to the distance from the
mainland, but the house shown may have been a bit of smoke and mirrors :-)

According to Wikipedia:

" Cornwall was used for many of the harbour and beach scenes, including Kynance Cove and
Mullion Cove. Harefield House in Hillingdon, outside London, served as the location for
the island mansion."

I think you will find that it is Burgh Island of the coast of Bigbury-on-Sea, Devon

Christie supposedly modelled the setting of her isolated house party
from hell on Burgh Island Hotel off the south Devon coast, recently
restored to its full expensive glory, but as it’s reachable from the
mainland at low tide, that wouldn’t do. Director Craig Viveiros’s choice?

Well I didn't see it, but there's no shortage of jagged rocks.

I believed they filmed near Mullion
http://www.cornwall-beaches.co.uk/pu...on_harbour.jpg
& Kynance
http://www.parkdeanholidays.co.uk/gl...image18_lg.jpg

which vaguely fit your description.

Also near Newquay there's Holywell http://www.intocornwall.com/pphotos/164big.jpg

You're recently spoilt for choice when it comes to 2 jagged rocks off Cornwall!

I've walked over the causeway to Burgh Island and that didn't look like it. It looked like a genuine big house on an island, but then again its amazing what they can do with CGI these days!

Holywell look the one to me for the rocks.

The house though I think was superimposed on a view of Lundy Island. I
guess they don't want people to know it was Lundy incase the place gets
overrun or something :-)

The two jagged rocks just offshore where the small boy drowned don't look familiar either. I thought it looked more like the west coast of Ireland.

To bring this back onto weather, why is it that very few TV programs (or
films) get thunder right. Firstly the thunder happens when the flash
does, despite how far away. And secondly, it doesn't sound anything like
thunder.

Oh well.

A tin sheet bell sounds just like thunder if it is big enough, must be the Woolworths microphones they used?

Another thing: why, in the strange world if television, does it almost
always thunder when it rains?
