You have difficulty with reading, not just thinking, I take it? It can't be helped. With me it's maths. I would much rather be able to read. I can't imagine maths as thought. Other people's thought. But with the ability to read... And anyway weather charts make pretty pictures, just for me. I wonder how exceptional that makes me? Sometimes, it's good to be Weatherlawyer. Sometimes, I wonder how long it will last. |

But with the ability to read... And anyway weather charts make pretty pictures, just for me. I wonder how exceptional that makes me? Sometimes, it's good to be Weatherlawyer. Sometimes, I wonder how long it will last. To quote the man in full: "In his announcement of the formation of Science Service, Slosson wrote that in a democracy like ours it is particularly important that the people as a whole should so far as possible understand the aims and achievements of modern science, not only because of the value of such knowledge to themselves but because research directly or indirectly depends upon popular appreciation of its methods." Those were innocent days indeed. Leaving aside that McCarthyism was presided over by the leader of the free world, who had at one time come charging in as their saviour but only of the free world. (They let Stalin take the half he wanted) and he was the man who gave the order to stand back and let them. Two faced white men speak with fork tongue and nothing seems to have changed in half a century, too, neither. A bit of news for you. Armenia is what Turkey was, besides the Turkish Empi Anatolia. they put all the Christians that owned it, on wagons and rail-roaded the ones that survived the marches into a desert and left them there. You can probably still go and find the bones. It wasn't all that long ago. 100 years doesn't sound a lot at my age. That was about 1915. That's what gave the Nazis the idea about concentration camps and rolling stock and final solutions. The problem was that the hero of the Western World got turned into the POTUS itself and he had it in his pea-brain that you could send them all to Palestine; thought giving all the refugees left over from the holocaust well... just a thought. Not a very deep one obviously. It was the first time any American's had considered foreign policy as something different from what they usually did.... if you just get the British peacekeepers out of there. That was too easy. Now it's the Palestinians' turn to get a roasting but nobody is going to call the Gaza strip what it really is. And there are a lot of people justifiably upset. America's money is running; out in fact they have been living on credit for over a decade, people only started to take notice when a couple of buildings fell down and some fool told them it was brown skinned people in Iraq and Afghanistan. And that made it all right. Only the debt has grown since then and Scriptures say that the Israelis will never get rid of the Palestinian problem. And time is running out. So that is where we are now. You still want to sing, you ****wit? In 1983 or something, Margaret Thatcher came up with Global Warming to put one over Arthur Scargill. She was sitting on top of a police force every bit as corrupt as the American versions you see on Youtube. And every ounce of nastiness that any Tory Politician ever thought, paedophiliacs included was going on wholesale. Whole hospitals and care homes at a time. And you think trying to put one over on a wet sheep is where the mark is at? The whole ****ing lot has got to come down. ALL of it. Wake up you arsehole.. |

You've certainly got this one spot on Rupert! Mind you, you are aware that, in his eyes, you are me - or that I am you. 😀 Enjoy the long white clouds! |

Edwin E. Slosson, founding editor: Science Service. I wonder what he would have had to say about the Michael mannky hokey trick. I wonder if it has something to do with facts? They don't like them up them you know! Is it unverifiable that Michael Mann's hockey stick trick is an outright lie? Someone will be telling me next that Nobel prizes are like British nighthoods, that the swedes can ask for them back. The facts are rather compelling if you are not a subscriber to political misadventure. All you need do is compile the data that is readily available from historical sources. In fact why don't we look and see if the Winkipee has a page on it: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Mi...MKvXgAar7rigCQ You don't even have to take the words of an encyclopaedia and rather than have to go to a truthseeker's site, why not get it from the liar himself: "In their brief, the CEI Defendants suggest that the University of East Anglia's investigation actually found that the hockey stick graph was "misleading" because it did not identify that certain data was "truncated" and that other proxy and instrumental temperature data had been spliced together... This allegation is yet another example of Defendants' attempts to obfuscate the evidence in this case. The "misleading" comment made in this report had absolutely nothing to do with Dr. Mann, or with any graph prepared by him. Rather, the report's comment was directed at an overly simplified and artistic depiction of the hockey stick that was reproduced on the frontispiece of the World Meteorological Organization's Statement on the Status of the Global Climate in 1999.41 Dr. Mann did not create this depiction, and the attempt to suggest that this report suggested an effort by Dr. Mann to mislead is disingenuous." So we have all been barking up the wrong stick; it was some other naughty boy -that ran away.... |

At the risk of wasting my time asking questions of one as illustrious as your you yourself: Have you any idea where the World Meteorological Organization's Statement on the Status of the Global Climate in 1999 and the graph that they showed along with it came from? (A word of advice: Do the expected thing and ignore me, I will go away I promise.) |
