Default Basic text max/min data

All,

Here's hoping someone's going to be able to advise of a website ?

I'm just an interested observer / bystander of the weather - like most Brits of course - and I'm looking for a site that will show me on a rolling basis over the past 24 or 48 hours, the maximums and minimums from about the country, in a very basic level that's simple to read... even if it's not for every site, but a single number... it used to be available on the Met Office site til they went all clever and mappy !

I do NOT want all these maps and graphics that seem to have become the norm now

TIA
