Does anyone know why or how the small .ico pictures are saved in the
Favorites on IE6.0? I ask because I had them and now I just get the Explorer .ico. IS there something you have to switch on/off? I like the graphics of them, sad I know :-) Many thanks Keith (Southend) ***************************** Weather Home & Abroad http://www.southendweather.net COL Station for Southend-on-Sea |

I guess changing your cache settings might keep the pics for longer (but probably requires more disk space to cache everything else!). Jonathan |

Ah, it maybe that they preside in the temporary internet files folder,
I did a 'clean disk' the other day, it probably removed them. I do seem to be getting more back as I use the url's again. Thanks Keith (Southend) ***************************** Weather Home & Abroad http://www.southendweather.net COL Station for Southend-on-Sea On Sat, 11 Oct 2003 09:43:30 +0100, Jonathan Stott wrote: Keith (Southend) wrote: Does anyone know why or how the small .ico pictures are saved in the Favorites on IE6.0? Just out of interest, if you have a website and are thinking about adding an icon to your website URL it's pretty easy. Just create a 16x16 pixel image in something like photoshop or paint shop pro then save it as favicon.ico in the root folder of your website. Once there it should replace the (e) in the address bar and the favourites if a user bookmarks your website. HTH A |
